Approach and anchoring
Lies on the Intracoastal Waterway, a convenient stop for boats running the eastern seaboard. Reached from the Atlantic through the Lake Worth Inlet to the north, then south down the waterway.
Practical
Marina with wet berths for vessels up to 150 feet, each with shore power and water. Transient dockage on a limited basis. Laundry, gated security, dockside catering and on-site boat hoists for haul-out and care. Palm Harbor Marina lies just to the south, with the Town of Palm Beach Marina about a mile further on.
History
The Palm Beach Yacht Club was first founded in Palm Beach in 1890 and re-chartered in 1911. It is recorded as the oldest established business in West Palm Beach, its early years tied to the development of the Intracoastal Waterway.
