Approach and anchoring

Merrick Bay opens to the Atlantic through Jones Inlet, reached in about 20 minutes via the New York State Boat Channel. The inlet has shifting sand bars and is best not attempted without local knowledge.

Practical

Fifty in-water finger berths with shore power and water, plus 90 winter storage spaces and 25 berths for jet skis. Emergency repairs for boats from 15 to 45 feet, summerisation and winterisation. The yard is paved and gated with 24-hour security. The Anchor Down restaurant sits next to the marina.
