Approach and anchoring
Approach from the east between Punta di Rondinara and the Île de Rondinara, watching for the rocks that extend from both headlands. Drop in 3 to 6 metres on white sand. Open to the south and SE, leave for Sant'Amanza or Bonifacio when a libeccio rotates to sirocco.
Practical
No services at the anchorage. Sant'Amanza is 3.7 NM SW and Bonifacio 6.2 NM SW for fuel, water and provisioning. Small summer snack bar on the beach.
Ashore
The shell-shaped bay of Rondinara is listed at the Conservatoire du littoral and is one of the most protected beaches on the south Corsican coast. Short walk across the isthmus to the southern side of the bay.
Story
The bay has featured repeatedly in French television rankings of the country's finest beaches.
