Approach and anchoring
Found at the mouth of the Mystic River off Fishers Island Sound, south of all the river bridges. Largest vessel handled is 125ft.
Practical
50 floating berths with finger pontoons and 120 moorings served by a launch, 15 of them kept for visitors. On-site mechanics, riggers and paint specialists, with winter haul-out, mast storage and winterisation. First marina on the Mystic River to hold the Connecticut Clean Marina certification.
Ashore
Noank village stands around the yard, a former fishing and boatbuilding settlement listed as a National Register historic district since 1979 for its roughly 260 preserved houses.
History
The boatyard has worked the Noank waterfront since 1972 and has stayed family-owned for over fifty years.
