Large marina of about 250 floating berths on the Neuse River at downtown New Bern, attached to a DoubleTree hotel.
Guide
Approach and anchoring
Sits at the confluence of the Neuse and Trent rivers, off the ICW. Floating docks take vessels up to 45 metres, with berths from 9 to 20 metres. Approach in deep water without tidal constraint. Phone 252 633-6070 before arrival.
Practical
Fuel berth with diesel and petrol. Berths have 30, 50 and 100 amp shore power, water, cable and wifi. Heads, showers and laundry on site. Slip owners and guests use the adjacent DoubleTree hotel facilities, including the pool and fitness room, and an on-site restaurant and tiki bar.
Ashore
Downtown New Bern is immediately ashore. Tryon Palace, the 1770 colonial governor's residence rebuilt in 1959, is about 700 metres from the marina. New Bern was founded in 1710 by Swiss and German settlers and is the second oldest town in North Carolina.
