Approach and anchoring

Sited on the Frederica River just inside St. Simons Sound, with clear access to the Intracoastal Waterway and the Atlantic, no overhead obstructions. Wet berths take vessels from 25 to 56 feet, with up to around 600 metres of side-tie space. Hail the marina on VHF on arrival.

Practical

The transient dock runs about 335 metres with high-speed diesel and non-ethanol petrol pumps, in-slip pump-out, fresh water and 30, 50 and 100 amp shore power. There is a ship store, showers, laundry, a swimming pool, an on-site mechanic and courtesy bikes for provisioning.

Ashore

Coastal Kitchen restaurant sits on the marina. Courtesy bicycles reach the shops and restaurants of St. Simons village. Fort Frederica National Monument, the 1736 British fort, lies upriver along the Frederica River.
