Approach and anchoring
Shallow lake with sand banks. Approach the Maubuisson village frontage from the centre of the lake and drop the hook off the beach. Open to easterly winds, sheltered from the prevailing westerlies by the dune ridge.
Practical
No marina services at the anchorage itself. The Lacanau base is 6 NM to the south and Hourtin Port 6,9 NM to the north for slipways and fuel.
Ashore
Sandy swimming beach directly in front of the anchorage. Shops, bakery and restaurants around Place de Maubuisson within 200 m. Cycle path to Carcans-Plage on the Atlantic side, 6 km west.
