Approach and anchoring

The field lies in Matanzas Pass, west of the Sky Bridge between San Carlos Island and Estero Island. Mud bottom. Moorings are sheltered from N through NE and from SW through SE. Hail the harbour office on VHF 16; staff are on site weekdays 7am to 3pm.

Practical

Roughly 80 mooring balls take vessels up to about 70 feet, rented year-round. Fresh water is available. A town public dinghy dock lands boaters within walking distance of beaches, shops and public transport. Salty Sam's Marina lies 0.2 nm to the east and Gulf Star Marina 0.3 nm to the NW.

Ashore

Salty Sam's Marina, 0.2 nm east, is a waterfront village with two restaurants, Parrot Key Caribbean Grill and Marina Cantina. The dinghy dock puts the Estero Island beaches and the Fort Myers Beach shops and bars within a short walk.
