Wet-slip and dry-stack marina at Punta Rassa Cove, off San Carlos Bay near the Sanibel Causeway, in south-west Florida.
Guide
Approach and anchoring
Lying just inside Punta Rassa Cove, minutes from the Intracoastal Waterway and the Gulf of Mexico. The approach channel carries about 4 feet at mean low water and 6 feet at mean high water, so deeper-draught yachts should time their entry on a rising tide. Call the marina on VHF 16.
Practical
Berths for vessels up to 65 feet on eight fixed docks with finger piers and tie-off pilings, plus three dry-storage buildings. There is a fuel dock open 08:00 to 16:30 and a ship store open 07:30 to 17:00. Kayak and paddleboard hire on site.
Ashore
The Lighthouse Waterfront Restaurant sits at the marina. A nature boardwalk roughly a mile long runs from the site through the mangroves. Sanibel Island, with its beaches and the shelling grounds, lies a short drive west across the causeway.
