Guide
Approach and anchoring
Open approach from the south along the coast of the Massif des Maures. Mixed sand and rock bottom, so drop in clear patches of sand to avoid fouling on posidonia seagrass, protected by prefectural order across the Var coastline. Shelter from NW through N to E; exposed to southerly winds and to the SE swell that builds quickly.
Practical
Day anchorage only in settled weather. No facilities ashore at the mooring. Cavalaire-sur-Mer lies 2.1 nm SW for full services, fuel and provisions; Les Marines de Cogolin 4.8 nm N for a larger marina in the Gulf of Saint-Tropez.
Ashore
Coastal footpath of the Var follows the shoreline above the anchorage, running east towards Cap Lardier in the Cap Lardier national conservatory area. Small coves with swimming spots accessible on foot from the path.
