Approach and anchoring
Enter from Lake Michigan on the Manitou Passage shore. The harbour is run by Leland Township and faces the North and South Manitou Islands across the passage.
Practical
Around 63 berths, with 45 for transient visitors and one commercial berth. Water, 30A and 50A shore power, showers, petrol and diesel, pump-out, ice, a launch ramp and a courtesy car. Season runs May to October.
Ashore
Fishtown sits next to the harbour, a working fishing district of weathered shanties and smokehouses listed on the National Register of Historic Places since 1975. Carlson's Fishery, open here since 1904, still smokes and sells whitefish.
