Guide
Approach and anchoring
Approach from the west, keeping clear of swimming zones marked by yellow buoys in summer. The bay is open to west and south-west, where the mistral builds chop and the swell works in.
Practical
Forain anchoring on sand 0.1 NM off the beach. Port Méditerranée, a small marina at Six-Fours, lies 0.5 NM north for shelter and supplies.
Ashore
La Coudoulière beach is a windsurfing spot sheltered from eastern winds. The sentier du littoral runs south toward the Cap Sicié headland and the forest massif of the same name managed by the Conservatoire du Littoral.
Story
Shelter from north-east through east to south-east. Open water to the west means the anchorage is used only in settled weather.
