Approach and anchoring
Reached through the Canal des Ardennes, between the flight of locks of Montgon to the south and the junction with the Meuse near Pont-à-Bar to the north. Opening hours of the locks set by Voies Navigables de France. Limited depth typical of the canal, draught around 1.4 m.
Practical
4 berths on a straight quay, water and electricity bollards. No fuel on site. Baker and grocery in Vendresse, less than 1 km from the quay. Next halt at Le Chesne, 4.6 NM south west.
Ashore
Château de la Cassine ruins and the 17th century Minim convent chapel, 400 m from the quay. Walks through the Bar valley and the Argonne forest start from the village. Departmental cycle route along the canal towpath.
