Approach and anchoring
Sits in the outer harbour off Lake Michigan, opposite the former U.S. Coast Guard station in the South Shore neighbourhood. VHF 16.
Practical
192 berths plus mooring buoys for boats from 25 to 40 feet. A fuel station serves the harbour. The club runs sailing races and youth and adult sailing lessons.
History
One of the oldest yacht clubs in Chicago, established in 1896, three years after the 1893 World's Columbian Exposition held in Jackson Park.
