Approach and anchoring
Reached from Lake Michigan through Jackson Park. Bridge clearance on the approach limits the harbour to motor boats, so masted sailing yachts cannot enter. Operated by Westrec Marinas.
Practical
Around 150 berths for boats from 30 to 40 feet, home to the Southern Shore Yacht Club. Transient docking by reservation from 15 May, by phone to the harbour. Free waste pump-out.
Ashore
63rd Street Beach a short walk from the harbour. Surrounded by the green space of Jackson Park.
