Reached from the Intracoastal Waterway near Mile Marker 897.5, on the lagoon's western side. The lagoon carries calm, protected water; the Atlantic is about 12 nautical miles north-east through the Port Canaveral lock.

Cocoa Village Marina lies 0.6 nautical miles west, with 117 berths for boats up to 120 feet, 24 of them transient, and roughly 6 feet alongside. Cape Crossing Marina is 2.9 nautical miles north.
Ashore
The marina sits across the street from Historic Cocoa Village, a walkable district of shops and restaurants reached in a short tender run. The Indian River Queen riverboat operates dinner cruises from the Cocoa waterfront.
