Guide

Approach and anchoring

Hingham Bay is entered from Nantasket Roads through Hull Gut, a narrow dredged channel where the tide runs hard between Peddocks Island and Windmill Point. The bottom is sand. The bay is sheltered from north-west through north to north-east, but open to the south-east.

Practical

No facilities at the anchorage itself. Safe Harbor Sunset Bay lies 0.8 miles south-east for berths, fuel and services, and Steamboat Wharf Marina is 2.5 miles south-east. The town of Hull has shops within walking distance of the marinas.
