- Harbour
Deep-water marina on the Waccamaw River reach of the Intracoastal Waterway, about 6 miles north of Georgetown at Pawleys Island, South Carolina.
Guide
Approach and anchoring
The face-dock sits directly on the Intracoastal Waterway channel with a mean low water depth around 30 metres, so it takes large vessels. No tidal gate. The marina is inside the gated Heritage Plantation community.
Practical
About 40 berths on four floating docks. No fuel. A dock house over the water holds the dock master's office, a sitting area and showers, with a viewing crow's nest above. Transient boats are taken; liveaboards are allowed, capped at four. A fenced area holds around 40 trailers.
History
The community was laid out on the former Midway and True Blue rice plantations, two of the historic rice estates that lined the Waccamaw River.
