Guide
Approach and anchoring
From Fort Pierce Inlet, head west to the ICW and turn south under the fixed bridge to around statute mile 188. The anchorage sits in open water exposed from south through south-east, so it is best in settled or northerly conditions. The Gulf Stream and the Atlantic are a short run back out through the inlet.
Practical
No facilities at the anchorage itself. Harbour Isle Marina lies 0.3 nautical miles north-west with floating berths, fuel, fresh water, shore power and a pump-out. Ft Pierce Inlet Marina is 0.4 nautical miles north.
Ashore
Hutchinson Island beaches face the Atlantic a short ride from the inlet. The Fort Pierce Inlet State Park covers the north side of the inlet with surf beach and dune trails. Provisions are available in Fort Pierce across the ICW.
