Approach and anchoring
Reached by the Canal de Briare between Briare and Rogny-les-Sept-Écluses. Freycinet gauge: 38.5 m length, 5.05 m beam, 1.80 m draught. Several manually operated locks on the stretch, check VNF opening hours before the passage.
Practical
Short quay with a few berths, water and electricity posts. Bakery and grocery in Ouzouer-sur-Trézée. Port de Briare 3.4 nautical miles south-west gives a fuller set of services including diesel and a chandlery.
Ashore
Towpath walk to the Sept Écluses de Rogny flight, 8 km upstream, a 17th century ladder of seven locks now preserved as a monument. Pont-canal de Briare crosses the Loire 3.4 nautical miles south-west, designed by Eiffel's engineers and opened in 1896.
