Guide
Approach and anchoring
Open anchorage on a gently shelving sand bottom. Protection from N through SE, fully exposed to S and SW swell. Approach from offshore on depths of 5 to 10 m, keeping clear of the shallow banks fringing the beach in less than 2 m. No lights, no marks: a daytime-only stop.
Practical
No services, no landing pontoon. Nearest refuges are Grau de la Dent 5.9 NM SE and Port Gardian 6.8 NM W. Provisioning requires leaving the bay.
Ashore
Beauduc beach stretches over 10 km inside the Parc naturel régional de Camargue. Flamingo lagoons and salt flats of Salin-de-Giraud lie 12 km inland by track. The dirt road to Salin is rough and sometimes closed in summer.
