Guide

Approach and anchoring

The entrance is closed by a sand spit, leaving a passage under 200 metres wide and around 11 feet deep at the narrowest point, with a 1 to 2 knot current setting in. Best taken near high water by deeper-draught boats. The inner bay opens out to roughly a mile long.

Practical

Anchor in 20 to 30 feet over mud, with room to swing. Harborview Marina and Arabella's Landing Marina lie about 0.1 nm to the south-west for berths, water and shore power. Shops and restaurants line the waterfront within walking distance.

Ashore

The waterfront walk follows Harborview Drive past the working fishing pier and net sheds. Skansie Brothers Park sits at the head of the bay with a public dock and lawn.
