Guide

Approach and anchoring

Enter the Aber-Wrac'h from the W with the buoyed channel past Île Vrac'h and the Libenter cardinal. The upper reach to Paluden dries in places and should be run near high water with local chart or plotter. Full shelter from all sectors once inside the river bend, with flat water even in heavy westerlies.

Practical

Four visitor buoys managed from the Aber-Wrac'h harbour office. Fresh water available ashore at the Paluden pontoon. All services, fuel and capitainerie are 1.8 nm W at Port de L'Aber-Wrac'h. Small yard at Perroz 1.4 nm NW.

Ashore

Wooded banks of the aber with footpaths along the old towpath. Restaurant Le Brennig on the pontoon, open seasonally. Village of Lannilis at 2 km with bakery, market on Wednesday morning, and supermarket. Côte des Légendes coastal trail continues towards the Phare de l'Île Vierge, the tallest stone lighthouse in Europe at 82.5 m.
