Private members yacht club on the south shore of Cleveland Harbour, at the west end of the main harbour next to Edgewater Park on Lake Erie.

Approach and anchoring

Enter Cleveland Harbour from Lake Erie through the west main entrance in the breakwater, opposite the mouth of the Cuyahoga River. The harbour is protected by 24,570 ft of breakwater. The yacht club lies at the western end of the 5-mile-long main harbour. Dockside depth 9 ft.

Practical

363 berths, maximum vessel length 55 ft. Fuel, water, electricity, and on-site maintenance reserved for members. Clubhouse with restaurant, bar, and function rooms. Access by membership only. Address 6700 Cleveland Memorial Shoreway.

Ashore

Cleveland Metroparks Lakefront Reservation at Edgewater Park, 117 acres, adjoins the club with a swimming beach, paved promenade, and views over Lake Erie to the downtown skyline 3 miles east.

History

Chartered in 1914 as a non-profit boating club. Hosts Cleveland Race Week each June, one of the largest regattas on the Great Lakes.
