Approach and anchoring
The basin lies on the west bank of the Intracoastal Waterway, on the Eau Gallie River. Transient boats up to 60 feet and 7 feet of draught are taken in the lagoon's protected waters.
Practical
Sixty modern berths handle boats of 60 feet and more. Transient rate is 1 dollar per foot per day. Shore power, water, cable and wi-fi are laid on. A potluck runs on Wednesdays and happy hour at 4 pm daily.
Ashore
The marina sits inside the Eau Gallie Arts District, with galleries, studios and restaurants within walking distance along Highland Avenue. The Foosaner Art Museum is a short walk from the waterfront.
History
Boats have been docked and serviced on this site since 1896. The basin grew from a boatyard set up by Captain Aaron Bennett and was long held to be the best deep-water harbour on Florida's east coast, earning Eau Gallie the name Harbor City.
