Guide
Approach and anchoring
The harbour cuts into the eastern shore of the island and gives shelter from NW through W to S. Bottom of sand and weed. A handful of mooring buoys are laid here, with room for around 8 boats; anchoring fills the gaps.
Ashore
Cypress Island is left in a natural state by the Washington Department of Natural Resources, which manages about 5,100 acres. Around 20 miles of trails and old roads run from the shoreline, including a short climb to a rock peak above the harbour.
