Approach and anchoring

Enter Flounder Bay off Burrows Bay on the west side of Fidalgo Island. The marina is at 2011 Skyline Way. Saltwater, full Puget Sound tidal range. Less than two hours by road from Seattle and Vancouver BC, hence the heavy weekend traffic in summer.

Practical

Around 465 berths taking vessels up to 150 feet long and 50 feet wide, with about 40 transient slips. Fuel berth with ethanol-free petrol and diesel, two pump-out stations, boatyard with a 50-ton travel lift and a 15-ton hydraulic trailer, indoor and outdoor storage, do-it-yourself work yard. Charter and whale-watching operators based on site.

Ashore

Washington Park 1.5 km west by road, with a loop drive, picnic sites and views over Rosario Strait. Downtown Anacortes shops and restaurants 5 km east. Washington State Ferries terminal for the San Juans at Ship Harbor, 4 km north.
