Approach and anchoring

Sits in the Hammerman Area of Gunpowder Falls State Park, off the upper Chesapeake Bay. Inside slips are stationary, with a maximum boat length of 27 ft.

Practical

Slips run on eight-month contracts from 1 April to 30 November, with water and metered electricity at each pedestal, a pump-out at the pier and 24-hour gated access. Petrol sales, bait, fishing tackle, ice and packaged food at the marina store. A trailer ramp and a soft launch for kayaks and canoes. Phone 410 335-9390.

Ashore

The marina is the boating gateway to the Hammerman Area of Gunpowder Falls State Park, with a swimming beach and woodland trails. The park is a noted birding site along the Gunpowder River wetlands.
