Approach and anchoring
Reached from Middle River off the upper Chesapeake Bay, well inside Maryland's western shore. Fixed docks with approach and dockside depths near 6 to 8 ft. Boats up to about 42 ft handled; a few transient berths available.
Practical
Fuel berth on site with diesel and petrol. Full marine maintenance and repair facility, with paint and provisions available without leaving the yard. Harbour office open Monday to Friday 0900 to 1600. No liveaboards. Pool and barbecue areas for berth holders.
Story
Carroll Island shares its access road and harbour office with Chesapeake Yachting Center, the adjoining marina just to the south.
