Approach and anchoring

Reached from Lake Erie and the lower Detroit River. The marsh-fringed shoreline here is shallow, so keep to deeper water on the approach.

Practical

Around 154 berths, a fuel berth and clean restrooms with hot showers. A convenience store sells basic provisions. The campground takes both tents and RVs, with water and electric hook-ups. Contact the office for reservations.

Ashore

Lake Erie Metropark adjoins the site, with hiking trails, a nature centre and birdwatching. The park's hawk watch on the lower river is a major autumn raptor migration point.
