Guide
Approach and anchoring
The club sits on Dorchester Bay inside Boston Harbour, with open water to the north-east towards the harbour islands. Its current site dates from the 1950s.
Practical
Over 150 slips taking boats from 16 to 42 feet, run as an affordable member club for the greater Boston area.
History
Founded in 1870, the club is one of the oldest on the Boston waterfront. The schooner America, winner of the 1851 transatlantic race, was rebuilt in 1871 and listed among club yachts in the 1877 and 1882 yearbooks. During the Second World War the clubhouse served as a base for a Coast Guard Auxiliary unit patrolling Boston Harbour.
