Approach and anchoring
Enter Quartermaster Harbor between Maury Island and Vashon Island from the south. The marina sits on the inner east shore of the harbour, well sheltered from the Sound. Quartermaster Yacht Club and Quartermaster Marina lie 1.3 nm north on the same harbour.
Practical
Moorage and pier use for 30 boats, plus 20 cleats for annual dinghy moorage at 100 USD per year, booked through King County Regional Scheduling on 206-477-6150. Rebuilt breakwater, new finger piers and a reconstructed floating moorage dock returned to full service in 2025 after a phased renovation started in 2019.
Ashore
Dockton Park covers 23 acres with a beach, picnic shelters and a playground next to the docks. Maury Island Marine Park hiking trails are 4 km north along Dockton Road. The ferry to West Seattle and Tacoma leaves from Tahlequah at the south tip of Vashon, 6 km west by road.
