Approach and anchoring
Enter the Thea Foss Waterway from Commencement Bay and follow it south. Dock Street Marina sits on the west bank, alongside the Esplanade. No tidal restriction; the waterway carries deep water along its quays.

138 berths on concrete pontoons, taking yachts up to 120 feet alongside. Shore power and water at every berth. Fuel berth, pump-out and a public launch ramp on site. Showers, heads and laundry. Kayak, paddleboard and powerboat rentals. Certified Clean Marina with a five-star Envirostars rating.
Ashore
Museum of Glass at the head of the Esplanade, 200 m walk, with the Chihuly Bridge of Glass crossing the waterway. Foss Waterway Seaport maritime museum on the same quay. Washington State History Museum and Tacoma Art Museum within 800 m. Light rail to downtown Tacoma stops two blocks west.
