Approach and anchoring
Narrow river navigation, no tide. Follow the marked channel of the Sarthe and keep clear of low branches on the banks. Mud bottom, good holding. Shelter on most sectors, limited exposure from the SE along the river reach.
Practical
Club pontoon for members, limited visitor berthing. Fuel, water and slipway at Ponton d'Arnage 1.2 NM to the NE. Spay landing 0.1 NM NW for a short stop. Supermarket and services in Arnage village within walking distance.
Ashore
Voie verte of the Sarthe valley runs along the river, suitable for cycling towards Le Mans city centre 8 km north. Circuit des 24 Heures du Mans 3 km west, home of the 24 Hours endurance race since 1923.
