Approach and anchoring
Reached from the Sound up the well-marked Connecticut River channel. The basin sits on the west bank near the mouth of Chester Creek, in fresh water clear of heavy traffic.
Practical
Around 145 berths on floating docks, with 4 transient berths. Fuel berth with petrol and free pump-out, chandlery, showers and heads. Full-service yard with a 35-ton travel lift hauling boats up to 60 ft. Phone 860-526-5147.
Ashore
Downtown Chester lies about a mile from the marina, with restaurants and shops along Main Street. An on-site picnic and grill area is open to berth holders.
