Approach and anchoring
Approach on a roughly northerly heading from the Golfe du Lion. Sand bottom with good holding once the anchor sets. Sheltered from NW through N to NE by the low coastline; fully exposed to sea breezes and southerly winds, which build a short chop in the afternoon.
Practical
Day anchorage only. Halte Fluviale de Carnon at 0.5 nm NW on the canal du Rhône à Sète gives access to fuel and basic provisioning; LesCanalous river-boat base lies 0.7 nm W.
