Approach and anchoring
Shallow lagoon water with a muddy bottom. Entry via the Canal du Rhône à Sète and the connecting grau. Depths limited, check draught against local charts before committing. No coastal wind exposure as the lagoon is inland.
Practical
Water point available ashore near the point. No fuel, no chandlery on site. Le Grand Travers at La Grande-Motte 1,7 NM S and the halte fluviale de Carnon 2,8 NM SW for full services, berths and supplies.

The Salaison river mouth and the étang du Méjean are part of a protected wetland managed by the Conservatoire d'espaces naturels. Waterbird observatory with flamingos, avocets and herons. The Maison de la Nature at Lattes lies about 3 km west by the étang.
