Guide
Approach and anchoring
Cape Elizabeth is the headland where Maine's island cruising grounds begin, north of the run from Cape Cod. The cove gives a fair-weather hold on sand but stays open to the east, so it suits a settled forecast rather than a blow. The local moorings are private. Sound in towards the head and anchor clear of any laid gear.
Practical
There are no services in the cove itself. South Port Marine lies 5.7 nm N and Portland Yacht Services 5.8 nm N, both inside Portland Harbour with diesel, water, berths and repair facilities.
