Marina at Long Wharf in Portland's Old Port, Casco Bay, with around 130 floating berths and a fuel berth, open year round.
Guide
Approach and anchoring
Berthed on the Fore River side of the Old Port. Deep water alongside takes large yachts to 250ft LOA. Call ahead on VHF channel 71 for a transient berth.
Practical
About six berths kept for visitors among the seasonal fleet. Fresh water, shore power and cable TV at the berth, pump-out on site. The fuel berth supplies diesel and petrol. All the Old Port's shops and restaurants are a short walk away.
History
Tony DiMillo bought the run-down Long Wharf in 1978 and filled its first 120 berths. In December 1982 he opened DiMillo's floating restaurant alongside, a converted car ferry seating around 550.
