Guide
Approach and anchoring
Approach from the south along the Tête de Chien cliffs. Entrance between two moles with red and green lights. Max draught 20 m at the outer pontoons, suitable for large yachts. Exposed to easterly storms. VHF 9.
Practical
260 berths including superyacht berths of up to 110 m. Water, electricity, diesel and petrol at the fuel berth. Toilets and showers. Chandlery and restaurants around the harbour basin.
Ashore
Sentier du littoral eastward to the Plage Mala in a sheltered cove, 15 min on foot. Monaco border 400 m east, Monte-Carlo Casino 2 km by the coast road. Villa Les Funoel of Sacha Guitry overlooks the harbour.
History
Cap d'Ail developed as a Riviera resort at the end of the 19th century after the railway arrived in 1868. The marina was inaugurated in 1976 on land reclaimed from the sea.
