Approach and anchoring
Enter from the south between Punta di Roccapina and the Îles Bruzzi. Anchor in 3 to 8 metres on clean sand, good holding. Shelter from N, NE, E, W and NW. Open to S and SW swell, untenable in Libeccio. Nearest refuges Tizzano 4.8 NM NW and Pianottoli-Caldarello 6.4 NM E.
Practical
No services, no buoys. Small seasonal beach bar on the sand. Tizzano for water and basic provisions 4.8 NM NW. Propriano marina for full services about 15 NM N.
Ashore
White sand beach of Roccapina, Natura 2000 site. Footpath up to the Genoese tower of Roccapina and the granite Lion rock, about 1 km from the beach, viewpoint over the gulf. The site is a protected natural area managed by the Conservatoire du littoral.
Story
The Lion of Roccapina is a natural granite formation shaped by wind erosion, used as a landmark by sailors since Genoese times.
