Guide
Approach and anchoring
Reached from the inner harbour, off the President Roads channel. Dockside and approach depth of 25 feet, so no tidal restriction for keelboats. The harbour master monitors the marina on VHF.
Practical
180 floating berths taking vessels up to 125 feet. There is a fuel berth, fresh water, shore power, restrooms with showers, laundry and 24-hour security. Year-round dockage with winter storage afloat and ashore. Yard tenants handle repairs and haul-out.
Ashore
Restaurants and shops along Maverick Square at 800 metres. Logan Airport is adjacent. The water taxi and MBTA Blue Line link the marina to downtown Boston in about ten minutes.
History
The marina occupies the East Boston shipyard, a working waterfront yard tied to one of the great 19th-century clipper-building districts of the United States.
