Anchorage on the Trieux estuary in northern Brittany, just downstream of Lézardrieux, off the Bodic lighthouse.

Approach and anchoring

Approach the Trieux by the well-marked channel from La Horaine, leaving the Roche Donan tower to port. The Bodic lighthouse on the west bank serves as a leading mark with La Croix light for the lower channel. Strong tidal streams run in the river, up to 3 knots on springs. Holding is on mud and weed, check the set carefully.

Practical

No services at the anchorage itself. Lézardrieux marina lies 1.9 nm to the SW with fuel, water, electricity and a capitainerie. Port Adhoc at Pommelin is 2.4 nm to the SE.

Ashore

The Bodic lighthouse path leads up through woods to the Plouëc-du-Trieux cliff viewpoint above the river. Village of Pleudaniel shops lie about 3 km inland. The GR34 coastal trail passes on the east bank opposite the mooring.
