Approach and anchoring

Smith Creek is a deep-water cove on the Potomac, around six miles from Chesapeake Bay at Point Lookout lighthouse. Jutland Creek branches off it, well sheltered.

Practical

Open and covered berths in deep water, mechanic service, ships store, showers and a launch ramp. Kayak hire on site. Point Lookout State Park lies a short run down the Potomac.

History

A marina has operated on this site continuously since 1951, when it opened as Misty Cove. It has also traded as Captain Hewitt's Misty Cove Marina and Phil's Marina, and took the name BluHaven Piers under ownership in place since 2007.
