Privately owned marina at the mouth of Westpoint Slough in Redwood City, California, on the southern reaches of San Francisco Bay.
Guide
Approach and anchoring
From the main Redwood Creek shipping channel, turn into Westpoint Slough after green channel marker 13, about 1000 yards off the channel. The slough carries 10 feet at mean low water and is marked by red and green buoys. The basin itself is fully protected.
Practical
A 26 acre dredged basin with 416 in-water berths from 36 to 80 feet, plus side-tie space for vessels up to 120 feet. Berths have shore power, water and slip-side pump-out. There is a fuel dock with Valvtect diesel and petrol, and an on-site boatyard. Transient berthing is available for up to 90 days.
Ashore
The marina sits beside the sloughs of the Bair Island Ecological Reserve, a tidal marsh restoration area about 1.5 miles north that supports Ridgway's rail and harbour seal haul-outs. The San Francisco Bay Trail runs past the harbour for walking and cycling.
