Approach and anchoring
Reached from the Chesapeake Bay through the Severn River entrance, then up Back Creek past the Eastport marinas. The creek is well marked and deep enough for most cruising yachts. Back Creek is sheltered from the prevailing winds.
Practical
Over 200 wet berths plus lift berths and dry storage, sized for vessels from 20 to 55 feet, on roughly 25 acres of yard. Hauling and launching is handled by a 75-ton, a 50-ton and two 35-ton travel lifts, with a 30-ton crane. More than 25 marine trade firms work on site. A Maryland Certified Clean Marina.
History
The yard was started by Bert Jabin in 1959 and has stayed one of the largest service yards in Annapolis.
