Approach and anchoring

Enter from the Chesapeake Bay channel and follow the marked approach channel into Back Creek past green daybeacon 1E. Anchoring room lies up the creek, with town moorings about half a mile above green daybeacon 7. Holding on sand and mud is reported as poor in places, so set the anchor well and allow swinging room.

Practical

Several yards line the shoreline. Safe Harbor Annapolis sits within 0.1 nm to the north and Annapolis Landing Marina the same distance east, both with diesel, water and repair facilities. Bert Jabin Yacht Yard, the largest yard in Annapolis, is also on the creek.

Ashore

Downtown Annapolis and the City Dock are about 1.5 nm by water across Spa Creek. The Eastport waterfront, with chandlery and provisioning, is within walking distance of the marinas.
