Marina at the mouth of the Occoquan River in Woodbridge, Virginia, with 158 floating berths and direct access to the Potomac.
Guide
Approach and anchoring
Approach across Belmont Bay from the Occoquan River. The marina sits behind a breakwater inside a no-wake zone, so reduce speed on the final approach. Berths range from 30 to 50 feet. It is the only Occoquan marina with a quick run to the Potomac.
Practical
Floating pontoons with 30 and 50 amp shore power. Petrol and diesel fuel berth, two pump-out stations, laundry, showers, ship's store and Wi-Fi. Gated dock access. Transient berths bookable through Dockwa. A VRE commuter rail station is close by.
Ashore
Occoquan Bay National Wildlife Refuge borders the bay to the south, with marsh and woodland trails open to walkers. The town of Occoquan, with shops and restaurants along Mill Street, lies about 2 miles up the river.
