Guide
Approach and anchoring
Navigation follows the VNF buoyage on the Oise between PK 56 and PK 58. The bottom is mud but dropping the hook is not allowed: the fairway must stay clear for the commercial traffic that uses this section of the Seine-Nord axis.
Practical
For an overnight stop, use Port de l'Isle-Adam 3 NM SW or the pontoon at Boran-sur-Oise 3.3 NM NE. Both offer water and visitor berths for river cruisers.
History
The town grew around the medieval Saint-Laurent church and a bridge over the Oise first recorded in the 12th century, a crossing point on the route from Paris to Beauvais and Amiens.
