Full-service marina in Sawmill Bay at the north-east end of Chaumont Bay, on the eastern shore of Lake Ontario near the Thousand Islands.
Guide
Approach and anchoring
Reached from Chaumont Bay, a sheltered inlet of Lake Ontario with rocky shores and shoals. The bay holds calm water in most conditions and freezes over in winter. Approach via the Chaumont Harbor inset on US chart 14811.
Practical
Petrol available at the fuel berth, with holding tank pump-out, ice, haul-out and a repair shop covering inboard, outboard and fibreglass work. Winter storage and shrink-wrapping on site. Contact 315-649-2150.
Ashore
The village of Chaumont lies a short distance away with shops and the Three Mile Bay area. The wider Chaumont Bay is a noted fishing ground for bass, perch, pike and walleye, and draws ice anglers once the bay freezes.
